During my time at The Bay Club, a health and lifestyle company with clubs throughout Northern California, I had the opportunity to design a couple of editions of their quarterly magazine, One Lombard. This project brought new challenges to typographic solutions, creative ways to use imagery, and lessons in magazine production. I managed the production from start to finish as I worked closely with our print vendor to ensure a beautiful end product.

How does this make you feel? More captivating than Game of Thrones Season 8 Ep3, or worse than nails on a chalkboard?
This ad was part of a two-series test project that ran on Facebook and Instagram. Over the course of two months, we created and tested 87 ads targeting users who have searched for specific courses and driving them to our platform. This concept, which had an emphasis on engaging visuals vs. showcasing our product, performed best overall.
The concept is inspired by an internet trend that falls under what many refer to as "satisfying videos". We were thrilled to learn that this video had an average viewing time of 9 seconds, or 36%, when the overall watch time for videos is 4%.
We shot in-house and don't worry, we make use of the leftover kinetic sand on our more stressful days.

When I was first brought on to Udemy, their new brand had just launched internally. I was excited to be a part of the new changes and felt a deep connection with the the company’s mission to arm their students and instructors with the skills the need to “be able” to accomplish anything.
I was the lead designer on creating the landing page where all the content surrounding the brand launch would be housed. You can see it live at beable.to.

For many years I have been obsessed with hand lettering. It started small with Gelly Rolls in grade school, turned into calligraphy and logos in my twenties, and later a desire to try sign painting. I nerded out over buying the proper tools like lettering enamel and mahl sticks.
This piece, a self-initiated project, is hand painted onto a solid wood door I bought from a salvage yard in Berkeley. I was so excited when I brought it home. After some measuring and a lot of, well, eyeballing, she turned out okay.
I wanted to take it to the beach. I had this vision of the power of the the ocean, gloominess of the San Francisco skies, and big stone like letters representing the current #mood of our social and political climate. I didn’t have an assistant. The door was heavy. The winds were insane. It took all my strength to hold on to it and carry it out to the beach. Once i got to the shoreline, I asked a passerby to help. He’s standing right behind the door. And that bird, he’s a model.
She also made it to the 2nd Annual Women’s March in January 2018! My arms were very tired when I got home.
As a full-time designer who wears a few extra hats, I have been lucky enough to exercise another one of my creative pursuits: portrait photography. This is a sampling of some of my shots.
Custom maps and illustrations for the Spring and Fall 2016 issues of One Lombard, the Bay Club's lifestyle magazine.
The maps playfully highlight the local finds near some of our clubs in Northern and Southern California through illustration and hand lettering.
Moxxly is an exciting new women’s product company that recently launched their first product: The Flow, the pump-anywhere breast pump for modern moms. We have worked together on branding work, and most recently I was hired to style and shoot their product launch imagery.

In addition to their quarterly publication, Bay Club’s One Lombard also encompasses their private label line with products sold exclusively in the clubs.
I used my hand lettering skills to redesign the One Lombard logo that is now displayed in store and online. Additionally, I created a few pieces that were sold in the shop (mug, bag).
